CTT takes you on the trails.

Trail No. 593V starts immediately with stairs going up to Piazza Vignaioli and then winds through the narrow side streets of Riomaggiore, flanked by the typical tower houses. The stairs continue for 150 meters up to Via di Loca. Here the trail turns right onto the village road and becomes flat, with a view of the castle. After about 60 meters, near the village playground, the trail turns left and the stairs resume for another 140 meters up to the provincial road SP32. After crossing the road, the trail turns right and then goes up more stairs around the village cemetery. The stairs, some built with massive stones and others carved directly into the rock, rise for about 300 meters and then cross SP32 a second time. After crossing the road, the trail continues on asphalt up to the intersection with the coastal road SP 370, then turns left onto SP 370. The path follows the road around a blind curve, and cars travel fast here, so be very careful on this stretch. After about 400 meters of asphalt, the stairs start again on the left, and you continue for another 370 meters until you reach the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Montenero at 340 meters above sea level.
