Before the construction of the Via dell’Amore at the end of the 1920s, Trail No. 531 was the main route connecting Riomaggiore and Manarola, passing over Colle Corniolo. The Via dell’Amore has been closed for 8 years due to a landslide that still needs repairing, so Trail No. 531 is once again the main way between Riomaggiore and Manarola.
