Trail No. 530C is a short but steep link between Trail No. 530 and the AV5T trail. The path begins on the right—right where the descent of Trail No. 530 starts—about 800 meters from Telegrafo. The first 300 meters are flat, following a dirt track through a holm oak forest that leads to an abandoned quarry (Cava Schiappacasse). To the left, three viewpoints offer a stunning vista of Riomaggiore and the coastline stretching as far as Punta Mesco, before the trail turns right onto a long sandstone staircase known as the “Scala Santa.”
