CTT takes you to the trails.
The Pagana Trail connects Trail No. 502 to Trail No. 501. It had been abandoned for decades before being reopened this autumn by us and other volunteers. On old maps, it was part of the “Beccara Vecchia” route coming from Manarola—a path once used by locals to transport wine to the Val di Vara. The trail is unmarked. It begins on Trail No. 502, on the right, about 300 meters from the junction with Trail No. 530. The entrance is lined with strawberry trees and tree heaths; after a few meters, the trail curves to the left and continues with a moderately steep incline through a mixed forest of chestnut, oak, and pine trees.
