Is the trail connecting all the towns open so you are able to hike the 7 1/2 miles completely? If not, which sections are closed?

    Thank you,

    Diana

    Hello Diana,

At the moment two sections of the coastal path are closed – from Riomaggiore to Manarola and from Manarola to Corniglia. There are alternate paths, so you can still walk between those towns. The total hike from Riomaggiore to Monterosso via the alternate paths from Riomaggiore to Manarola and from Manarola to Corniglia, then the coastal path (Trail N. 2) from Corniglia to Vernazza and from Vernazza to Monterosso, would be about 9 miles.

    Hello Admin,
May I know the duration of the closure? Would it be open in Dec?

  4. admin says:

    Belinda,
We do not know the duration of the closure. It will depend on progress of repair work and weather conditions.
